HIBERT HOTEL

HIBERT HOTEL S.C DEBRE TABOR Located in the Amhara Region, south Gondar, Debre Tabor city.

Hibret Hotel was been established in 1998 because the existing shareholders' found it vital
to construct a standard hotel to contribute to the development of the region by providing
a conducive place for investors and dwellers.

We can now proudly say that we have achieved the goal.

Through the shareholders and the board of directors' effort, the amazing support from Debretabor city administration, and the brilliant contribution of the hotel's employees, Hibret became not only a reality but also a success story.

History of the Hibret Hotel

Debere-Tabor is an ancient city with more than 670 years behind it. But, until recently, there was no hotel that fulfilled the standard that could attract investors, civil/military servants, businessmen, etc to come to the city.

So, to create a conducive working atmosphere, the community with the collaboration of the administrative bodies insisted the group construct a hotel with full-fledged amenities focusing on bedrooms and auditoriums.

It was due to this reason that Hebert Hotel come into this picture in 1996 E.C with 27 individuals investing to alleviate the problem encountered. The first phase of construction/building was inaugurated in 2002 E.C, having 28 bedrooms along with an auditorium, shops, a restaurant, a bar, etc.

Currently, it has upgraded the previous rooms and constructed additional 44 bedrooms with the new wing starting to operate in the year of 2012 E.C.

Hibert hotel is now the only modern hotel in the zone with 72 bedrooms and other utilities. Not satisfied with the status quo, we are now striving to bring the hotel to the highest star level and provide other entertainment facilities like a gymnasium, swimming pool, sauna /steam, children's playground, etc.

In addition, it has created job opportunities and its well-equipped halls are serving as a practical training center for Debre Tabor University and technical vocational colleges in the area of hotel management, food preparation, providing services, etc.
